Ryan Tubridy’s radio show lost 1,000 listeners in the three months to June, according to the most recent bout of Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) figures.

The presenter - who has found himself at the centre of the RTÉ payments controversy - garnered a 334,000 daily listeners with his weekday morning show between April and June.

The figures come just a day after the second report by Grant Thornton into RTÉ’s payments was released. An RTÉ spokesperson told the Business Post that the drop was not related to the broader issue. The issues surrounding Tubridy first came to light on June 22, at the end of this monitoring period for JNLR.
