Viatel acquires MJ Flood’s tech division
Irish telecoms and IT services provider led by Paul Rellis makes ninth acquisition since 2020
Viatel, the Irish telecoms and IT services provider, has closed its biggest acquisition to date with a deal to acquired MJ Flood’s technology business for an undisclosed sum.
The transaction marks Viatel’s ninth deal since 2020 and follows on from it acquiring Sunguard Availability Services in May 2023.
Chief executive Paul Rellis said the acquisition strengthens Viatel's market position and bolsters its expertise in cybersecurity, the cloud, and managed services.
