Record pay rises but Irish professionals still €1.3k worse off

The salary survey guide by Robert Walters found that 75 per cent of white collar companies in Ireland had given pay rises in January but that employees are still €1,300 worse off annually when inflation is taken into account

The rate of pay rises in Irish professional services firms hit a 10 year high in January according to Robert Walters, the recruitment consultancy.

Research by the business found that 75 per cent of employers had provided such raises last month at an average of 4 per cent. This however still equated to a net annual loss of €1,300 per employee compared to the same period when inflation is factored in.
