Price of stamps to rise to €1.40 from February
Price of large envelopes and Registered Post services will also go up, with An Post citing inflationary hangover
The price of stamps is set to rise by 5c to €1.40 from February 1 this year.
An Post said the increase is necessary to offset increased fuel, transport and energy costs, which they say rose by 6 per cent in 2023.
Despite the increase, it is still a smaller bump than the rate of inflation, which stood at 3.9 per cent in November, the postal service said.
