Sinn Fein President Mary Lou McDonald has defended the decision of Chris Andrews to sue Irish Times journalist Harry McGee personally.

Speaking to reporters at her party’s Ard Fheis, she said individual politicians have the right to pursue complaints against the press “in a way that deem appropriate”.
