Lidl to invest €15 million to give Irish staff 6 per cent pay rise

The retailer said it was now the highest-paying supermarket in the country

Lidl has raised staff wages by an average of 6 per cent across the board from the start of this month at a cost of €15 million to the company, it has announced.

The German discount retailer said this makes them the highest-paying supermarket in the country, and represents on average a €2,000 annual pay rise for each member of staff.
