LDA to build 2,300 homes on north Dublin land in €44m deal with Nama

If completed, it will be the biggest single state-led housing project in decades

The residential developments planned for the sites, which are 11.1- and 2.1-hectares in size respectively, have been dubbed Project Capital North and Barina. Planning permission is already in place for 1,823 units on the Project Capital North site

The Land Development Agency (LDA) has paid €44 million for a large tract of land in Clongriffin that has the capacity for more than 2,300 homes.

The 13.2 hectares of land, spread across two sites beside Clongriffin railway station in Dublin 13, has been acquired from the the National Asset Management Agency (Nama).
