Law may force ticket sellers to report mass purchases via bot software

The government is considering a move to force ticket sellers, such as Ticketmaster and StubHub, to report when ‘bot software’ is used to acquire tickets on their websites.

Proposed ticket tout legislation, which would ban above-face-value resale of tickets in Ireland, has been fast-tracked by Minister for Business Heather Humphreys.
