Aquila European Renewables (AERI), a renewable energy investor which made a rare debut on the Euronext earlier this month, said listing in Dublin was a “logical” choice.

AERI, which has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 2019 has been struggling with liquidity on its London-listing as investors have a preference for their home currency and a recent weak pound has made buying euro shares less appealing.

The company had been exploring a second listing in hopes to entice European investors and boost its share price. However, eyebrows were raised when they announced an Irish listing, with Euronext Dublin on shaky ground and Amsterdam a more popular choice for the its sector.
