Irish passport ranked 4th most powerful globally

The Irish passport has been ranked the fourth most powerful in the world, allowing visa-free entry to 188 destinations worldwide, according to the latest Henley Passport Index.

The 2023 index, which analyses the visa lists for all 199 passports in the London-based immigration consultancy’s database, found Ireland’s passport shares the same level of strength of three other nations worldwide: Denmark, the Netherlands and the UK.
