Ireland could play a part in the development of alternative aviation fuels, Eamon Ryan, the minister for transport, has told delegates at an ‘Airline Economics’ conference in Dublin.

The minister – who is also at the helm of the Department of the Environment – was speaking at day four of the conference, which is focusing on sustainable aviation fuel.
