Loan note holder who put €110,000 into renewable energy company says he is ‘extremely concerned’

Solar 21 is currently attempting to seek approval for a scheme of arrangement it claims could repay 80 per cent of the original investor funds

A renewable energy firm which owes investors more than €250 million requires investigation by court-appointed inspectors, a lawyer acting for a loan note holder has said.

Andrea Brennan, a solicitor with Simmon & Simmons, said in an affidavit filed in the High Court yesterday that James McFadden, her client, invested more than €110,000 and was “extremely concerned” by the actions of Solar 21’s directors.
