The housing crisis is deterring employers from hiring overseas workers despite the tight constraints in the Irish labour market, an expert has said.

A total of 3,203 permits were issued under ‘Information & Communication Activities’ in the January to August period, down from 7,609 in the corresponding period in 2022, according to figures published by the Department of Enterprise.
