Helen McEntee has pledged to barristers that she would do her “utmost” to reverse recession-era cuts to criminal legal aid fees.
The justice minister said she did not want to see a situation where barristers felt the need to protest on the steps of the Criminal Courts of Justice, referring to a demonstration over pay held last month.
