Government to deploy AI training to public sector

The government is to identify areas of the public sector where the use of artificial intelligence (AI) can be deployed and accelerated including in the agricultural and health sectors.

Dara Calleary, the Minister for Trade Promotion, Digital, and Company Regulation, on Wednesday published a progress report on the National AI strategy which set out a number of objectives, including the establishment of a new AI taskforce.
