Ruling blocks sale of another shareholder’s stake in the private Blackrock Clinic

Beef baron Larry Goodman is giving ‘serious consideration’ to appealing a High Court ruling that blocks the sale of an 8 per cent stake of another shareholder in the Blackrock Clinic.

Mr Justice Robert Haughton found last month that Goodman, who has a 28 per cent shareholding in the private hospital, tried to gain a controlling interest in the business by making a ‘secretive move’ against another shareholder – Florida-based investor John Flynn.
