The chair of the Bar Council has said criminal barristers may strike again if the withdrawal of services taking place today did not yield results
Criminal barristers may take further strike action if recession-era cuts to criminal legal aid fees are not sufficiently restored in the upcoming budget, the chairwoman of the Bar Council has said.
Sara Phelan said that if the one-day withdrawal of services occurring at courthouses around the country today did not yield results, the Bar would have to assess its options on the potential for further withdrawal.
