'Frankly spurious': GP body slams whiplash culture

The Irish College of General Practitioners has described the majority of compensated whiplash claims as “frankly spurious”, in a recent submission tothe Personal Injuries Commission(PIC).

Contributing to a working group set up to investigate Ireland’s compensation culture, the professional body warned that the extent to which whiplash has been monetised in the legal system has “driven inappropriate sick role behaviour”.
