Former Bord Gáis boss John Mullins brought in as Fine Gael’s election enforcer

The former chief executive of Bord Gáis has been brought in by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to independently oversee Fine Gael’s electoral campaigns as the party gears up for this year’s local and European ballots.

John Mullins, who is the current group chairman of solar energy firm Amarenco, was appointed independent chair of the party’s election strategy by Varadkar late last year, the Business Post understands.
