Family courts ‘not fit for purpose’
The courts are creaking from a lack of resources
High Court judge Michael White told a conference today yesterday that the family law courts in Dublin are “not fit for purpose”.
His comments will not have come as news to users of the family law courts, particularly the bleak cramped spaces that make up Dolphin House in Temple Bar. But the more modern Phoenix House in Smithfield also got a mention.
