FAI board members ‘regret’ Jonathan Hill pay breach after Sport Ireland withholds funding

Football association says it is committed to ‘ensuring the lessons learned are fully adopted’ after controversy over how much its chief executive was paid

The FAI has said members of its board “regret” the fact that it was not compliant with rules governing its chief executive’s pay, after it emerged that Sport Ireland was withholding funding from the association due to payments made to Jonathan Hill.
