Enterprise Ireland writes off €47m in investments over last five years

State agency has written off investments in nearly 260 companies since 2018

Enterprise Ireland has written off more than €47 million in investments it has made in companies over the past five years, new figures show.

The figure was revealed in answer to a parliamentary question posed by Paul Murphy, the People Before Profit-Solidarity TD.

In response, Neale Richmond, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, disclosed that equity investments in 257 client companies have been written off since 2018 due to those ...
