Employment rate surpassed 2.45m mark in January

Older age groups saw higher increases in employment than younger counterparts

The number of people employed in Ireland passed the 2.45 million mark in January, a 1.8 per cent increase from a year previously, according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

The monthly employee index for January indicated that most employment sectors saw annual increases in the number of people employed.
