ECB lending rates to remain at record-high 4.5%

Bank said that while underlying inflation has eased further, domestic price pressures remain elevated, as it announced its second straight pause

The European Central Bank (ECB) has left interest rates unchanged, with lending rates to stay at a record-high 4.5 per cent, as it pledges to it will step up its exit from €1.7 trillion of pandemic-era stimulus.

Deposit rates will also remain at their current level of 4 per cent.
