Eamon Ryan has pushed back on Leo Varadkar’s call for the current Dublin Airport passenger cap to be scrapped, saying that it is a matter for Fingal County Council.

The spokesman for the transport minister said that “planning decisions are made independently of government, which is absolutely correct, and it will weigh up all relevant issues such as noise and the pressure on local infrastructure”.
