Dublin is too small to warrant use of Croke Park in Euros 2028 bid – sports minister

Thomas Byrne said that only one of the Aviva Stadium and Croke Park could be included in the bid and the FAI made the decision

The GAA HQ failed to make the final cut for the joint bid to host the 2028 European football championships.

Croke Park has been excluded from the bid to host Euro 2028 due to Dublin not being big enough to merit two stadiums in the tournament, according to Thomas Byrne, the junior sports minister.
