Dublin Airport will not appeal competition regulator’s block on car park purchase

DAA will not appeal the state competition watchdog’s decision to block its purchase of a car park near Dublin Airport.

The Dublin and Cork airport operator said that while it saw merit in challenging the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) decision to block the sale, such an appeal would “take years”.

Last week, the regulator blocked the sale over concerns the deal would lead to “higher prices and lower service quality for consumers.”
