Efforts to increase car parking spaces for passengers at Dublin Airport have been blocked

The decision to block the sale of a car park near Dublin Airport to DAA will improve competition, an aviation industry veteran has said.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) blocked a proposal by DAA, which operates Dublin and Cork airports, to buy a car park located on the Swords Road in Santry from Gerry Gannon, the property developer.
