Danish energy giant Orsted to signs off on new Tipperary wind farm
The multinational energy company secured a state-backed support contract for the Farranrory wind farm in the most recent renewable energy auction
Orsted, the Danish energy giant, has signed off on plans to invest millions of euros to build a large-scale wind farm in Tipperary.
The company, which is majority owned by the Danish state, said it has taken a final investment decision to build a 43 megawatt (MW) wind farm at Farranrory in Co Tipperary, which is enough capacity to power the equivalent of 25,000 homes.
