CSO: Total tax collected last year was €110 billion

Corporation tax more than doubled but income tax makes up almost half of all revenue as receipts rise 17 per cent

The government collected €110 billion in taxes last year, which was an increase of 17 per cent on the €94 billion in 2021, according to the Central Statistics Office.

Income tax was responsible for almost half of 2022’s tax revenue with €51 billion, an increase of 14 per cent over the year prior.
