Coveney should ask Workhuman to restart ‘fatally flawed’ redundancy process, union says

Financial Services Union says layoff process at Irish tech unicorn should be rerun after some staff were emailed information relating to severance packages during the 30-day consultation period

Eric Mosley, Workhuman’s founder: the tech unicorn has become embroiled in a row with some staff after announcing plans to lay off 10 per cent of its workforce last month.

The Financial Services Union (FSU) has called on Simon Coveney, the Minister for Enterprise, to formally ask Workhuman to restart redundancy talks with staff after employees claimed the tech unicorn had breached its statutory obligations.

The FSU has claimed the redundancy process between the Irish tech unicorn and workers is “fatally flawed” after some staff were emailed information related to severance packages during the 30-day statutory consultation period.
