The cost of building the delayed landmark City Library project at Parnell Square in Dublin could hit €90 million, newly released figures from Dublin City Council show.

The project, which was first announced almost a decade ago, has been beset by delays and setbacks, most recently the termination of the design team’s contract following a disagreement over fees.
