‘Concerning picture’: 59% of Irish firms experienced cyber attack in last year

Grant Thornton poll also shows a third of respondents have not received cybersecurity training in last 12 months

More than half of Irish businesses have experienced a cyber attack in the last year, according to a new survey that paints a “concerning picture” of firms’ online security capabilities.

Research from Grant Thornton has found that 59 per cent of Irish businesses have suffered a cyber attack in the last 12 months – and that nevertheless, nearly a fifth do not have a policy in place to deal with digital attacks.
