ClonBio Group, the Irish agribusiness, plans to invest $500 million (€457 million) in a US biorefinery in what is seen as “a model for further Irish-US collaboration”.

The agriculture business, which makes proteins, animal feed, biofuel, ethanol and alcohol from grain in Europe and the US said it plans to invest in a moth-balled biorefinery it acquired in Wisconsin in mid 2022.
