Clare rolls out red carpet for data centres

A number of potential sites in Ennis, Scariff, Clarecastle and Shannon have already been identified by the council’s economic development directorate

Clare County Council wants to capitalise on the wet and cold weather of the west by attracting data centres to the county.

The council is now seeking expressions of interest from landowners, companies and developers who own or can identify sites of up to 50 acres which will support the development of one large data centre, or more, by 2023.
