CIF boss: House buyers who can afford them can’t get mortgages

The president of the state’s largest construction lobby has said that mortgage-eligible borrowers are being turned away by banks.

Dominic Doheny said that housebuilders in the Dublin area are reporting a drop in the number of buyers with mortgage approvals on the ground.
