Chartered Accountants joins calls for childcare funding overhaul

New paper on childcare policy follows sector complaints that insufficient funding and red tape are putting providers under pressure

Chartered Accountants Ireland have added their voice to rising complaints around childcare policy calling for core funding to be streamlined and funding to be provided for families using childminders not registered with Tusla.

The report, Supporting Working Parents – The case for better childcare policy, calls for the “Core Funding” scheme, which is designed to subsidise the sector, to be updated and streamlined.
