Dublin Town, the business representative body of businesses in Dublin city centre, has called for full consultation before moving ahead with any plans to ban cars from accessing further areas.

Dublin City Council and National Transport Authority (NTA) plan to reallocate road space from cars to public transport, cycling and walking from 2024 onwards.

Locations such as parts on the north- and south quays, close to O’Connell Bridge at Parliament Street will become traffic free.
