Brown Bag welcomes new parent firm as Scholastic buys 9 Story for $186m

9 Story Media Group, whose businesses include Irish animation studio Brown Bag Films, has been acquired by Scholastic in a $186 million deal.

Brown Bag is a Dublin-based animation studio that has produced a number of popular children's programmes, including Doc McStuffins and the Octonauts. Overall, the studio has won 21 Emmy Awards and secured two Oscar nominations
