Bacik challenges Simon Harris to call general election as Labour outlines priorities

The Labour Party has pledged to reinstate a no-fault eviction ban, tackle vacancy and dereliction, and “transform” the Land Development Agency if in government, as part of the party’s pitch to solve the housing crisis.

Speaking at the party’s annual party conference in Dublin, Ivana Bacik again pledged that her party would deliver 50,000 new builds and 50,000 refurbished homes per year over the next decade if in government.
