Applegreen confirms extra €550,000 donation to Barretstown

Extra funds will pay to care for 300 children with cancer or other serious illness and their families

Barretstown, the children’s charity, is to receive an additional €550,000 in funding from Applegreen, it has been confirmed.

This brings the total committed donation to Barretstown from the Applegreen association to more than €1.5 million.

Last week, Applegreen chief executive Joe Barrett secured a $300,000 (€274,326) donation to Barretstown at the inaugural Blackstone Gives Back Challenge, as part of the Blackstone CEO Conference in New York.
