Ireland is walking a fine line in Europe between maintaining its military neutrality and contributing to what one top EU official is calling a “war economy”.

EU leaders reached a deal of sorts on Thursday evening to unlock more military funding for Ukraine, agreeing in principle to hive off some of the interest earned over the last two years on frozen Russian Central Bank assets to pay for defence spending.
