Advertising regulator testing AI to help deal with complaints

Ireland’s advertising regulator is trialling the use of artificial intelligence to help it deal with complaints, a new report has said.

A new report from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) found there is a widespread failure among influencers to properly inform their audience of commercial content.

The CCPC found that 48 per cent of the commercial content posted by influencers online it reviewed was not labelled as advertising in any way.
