Maybe it’s my age, or the tedium of winter, but I prefer beginning my diary with the down time. When my sister Anne was very ill she reminisced with me “rugby gave us the best days of our lives”. I always remember this in the winter and during the Six Nations. A rugby international day is special, and as my colleague Peter Quinn, An Post CFO, says: “Accord it full international honours.”
