As well as Colombia’s renowned landscapes and cities, increasing numbers of tourists are attracted to the coffee-growing axis in the Andes Mountains, which is now a Unesco world heritage site

When Starbucks first opened its doors in Colombia in 2014, it raised plenty of eyebrows. Locals were sceptical about the US chain coming into their country to peddle its much-prized bean.

But Colombians voted with their feet. Almost one decade on, albeit with around 50 Starbucks outlets across the country, concerns about any aggressive market entry or disruption have been allayed.
