Sheehy to streamline AIB structures

A major overhaul of AIB's structures may be on the cards following the appointment last week of Eugene Sheehy as AIB chief executive designate.

Sheehy is believed to be considering streamlining the current structure based largely along geographical lines in favour of one that is based along divisional lines. A new structure might see the group reorganised around three or four main divisions including retail, corporate and wealth management.
