Fifa doesn’t do replays and, even if it did, it certainly would not for football minnows like Ireland. I can imagine the amusement around Fifa headquarters as the Irish protests took off after the game in Paris last Wednesday. Within 24 hours, there were thousands of emails bombarding Fifa, with various Facebook groups numbering many angry thousands more - but so what?
