Microelectronics to provide 1,200 new jobs by 2016

The Irish microelectronics sector will create 1,200 new jobs by 2016 according to research by industry body Midas.

The Irish microelectronics sector will create 1,200 new jobs by 2016 according to research by industry body Midas.

The research was carried out as part of Microelectronics week which took place last week. The study found that 68 per cent of firms in the sector had invested in their Irish operations in the past 18 months and there are 44 unfilled positions open in the industry at present.
