Major projects for supermarket group

The Caulfield McCarthy supermarket group is gearing up for two major investment projects worth a combined total of €8.5 million.

The group will invest €3 million in the refurbishment of the SuperValu store in Merchant's Quay Shopping Centre in Cork City. It took over the lease on the 25,000 square foot store from Roches Stores in February and will begin work on the three-month revamp in January.
