Economic collapse on cards under FF - Gilmore

Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore has upped the ante in the local elections battle by warning voters that electing Fianna Fail councillors could lead to another economic collapse.

With his party under pressure to hold onto its council seats, he warned that the seeds of the current recession were sown by Fianna Fail-led councils in the 1980s and 1990s with bad planning and bad rezoning.
